Today, my husband was going to let me sleep in for Mother's Day. That would have been great, if my brother didn't call me at 5:30 in the morning to say Happy Mother's Day. Now I'm up like any other day. FML

Sounds like something I would do. I called my mom at 8:00 my time, it was 5:00 A.M. her time.

Maybe he knows she's always up at 5.30 and wanted to be one of the first people to talk to her on Mother's Day?

Well if he knows she's up at 5:00 I. The morning, wouldn't she be up at 8:00 in the morning? :P

Yup, why would he even dare wish some a happy Mother's Day

At least we know your brother cares OP (:

I'm guessing rolling over and going back to bed isnt an opinion for some reason. I turn my phone off for sleeping in. Might try that next time.

The next time you pan on sleeping in turn your phone off.

why can't you just go back to sleep? and maybe you could ask everyone to not call you quite so early, my parents made a rule that no one could call before 10 am on the weekends unless it was an emergency

Do you have kids? Because once you're up, you're up.

I do. And if my husband was watching the kids you better bet your ass of go back to sleep.

If you have a cellphone and that's what you use for communication, why didn't you put it in airplane mode?

If I wanted to sleep in, I would do that, yes Granted, I wrote my FML poorly and assumed she used a cellphone as her main mode of communication

Why would your brother call you for Mother's Day?

Fair enough, maybe it's different in America but in my country I've only ever heard of valuing you own mother ect. Not just mothers in general I guess, maybe I'm just clueless. I meant no offence
