Awks

Today, while driving to work, I stopped to let an old man cross the street. The driver behind me honked their horn, so I drove slow to piss them off. A few turns later, I pulled into the car park and noticed the other driver following me. She works in the office next to mine. We met the other day. FML

I also drive slow like that when people are aggressive drivers.

Now you know exactly who to report for road rage and aggressive driving.

now you're definitely not getting any...

Well, all was her fault until you did the same mistake by driving slowly, so both of you (YDI) to feel awkward when you met along the street.

she should be the embarrassed one, not you. i wouldnt sweat it. although that would be awkward.

At least they didn't try to pass you...that may have caused an issue...

Well you now have three choices, either talk to her and decide to laugh it off or spend the rest your time working there in awkwardness and having to avoid her ask the time. Or start a war with her at work.

Pretend like it didn't upset you, befriend her, and then get her to share something you can use to get her fired. Revenge is a dish best served as a surprise.

Screw her. if she can't wait for a random act of kindness she doesn't deserve to breathe our air. Keep up the good work OP and don't fret about the little stuff.

She sounds like a classic road raged. If she says anything about it, just tell her you were worried she was a stalker and that's why you kept driving so slow.

A failure to plan accordingly on your part does not constitute a sense of emergency on my part. You going to be late? leave earlier. Don't kill someone or yourself because you're in too big of a rush. At one of my old jobs a woman died right across the road because she couldn't wait for traffic to calm down. She pulled out and was T boned and died instantly. She had 2 kids. Seriously it's not ******* worth it. assume people are traveling faster than they are. PS. if you tailgate me I will stop for every butterfly that passes in front of my car. and if you drive in the "fast lane" going the speed limit I will wish for your death.

you have a serious problem. If you're in the fast lane and someone wants to pass you, get the **** out of that lane and let them pass you. That's the point of the fast/left lane. Whether or not they're going above the speed limit doesn't disregard the fact that they're driving faster than you and you shouldn't be driving in the fast lane. You preach about being safe, but you wish death upon other people. The hypocrisy is real.

obviously you misread what I wrote. I dislike people who go slow in the fast lane. and I dislike people who tailgate. I do NOT drive slow in the left lane and always get over if someone is driving faster than me. so calm your **** dude.

Sorry, but from what you said earlier in your post, it's natural to assume you don't like people who speed. "you going to be late? leave earluer. Don't kill someone or yourself because you're in too big of a rush." This is basically referring to people who speed. From this, how can I not assume you were talking about how people should not drive the speed limit in the passing lane? I'm always pissed when people are driving the speed limit in the left lane, but there are people who believe you should never drive faster than the speed limit regardless if it's the passing lane. You, from your post, sound like the latter.

I'm totally okay with speeding, but speeding doesn't mean be reckless. honking your horn repeatedly, revving your engine at other cars, pulling out in front of oncoming traffic, etc. is being stupid. you can be dangerous not speeding too. like those assholes that try and merge on to the highway(70mph) going 30/40mph. or people Sunday driving in the left lane. I'm just doing a PSA and trying to make people think twice before they do something stupid because they think they're late.

I'm probably the minority in this opinion, but I think it's a complete YDI. The old man shouldn't be crossing the street in some random place. If it was at a stop sign, then fine, but anywhere else, it totally isn't. The co-worker honked her horn for a perfectly reasonable purpose. Him spiting her just because she honked his horn is wrong. I would have passed him up and flicked him off. If someone's driving 20 in a 40 street, I think ANYONE regardless of being late or not would be pissed off.

Yes. If they were not at a crosswalk then stopping to let him cross the street is straight up bad driving. He can wait until there are no cars coming or he can cross somewhere else.
