Haha! I hate when you road rage with someone then realize you know them! I did that a few months ago and it was my kid's friend at school's dad! So embarrassing!
So, tell her why you slowed down. She'll probably feel embarrassed for honking, and y'all can laugh and move past it.
Something similar happened to me, but I was going to church! ?
Bad news is that you have an asshole working next office. Good news still outnumber: she wasn't your boss and she wasn't a huge boxer following you to beat you up.
Don't worry too much, that happens more often than you'd think. You'll both forget about it, or make the occasional joke about it in due time
YDI for being an ass
Sometimes people are driving fast for a reason. It's usually just because they are douches but I've heard of many cases of people driving fast to get to a dying loved one.
Or get to to the hospital because your wife is in labor, or your kid has broken their arm and are in extreme pain, or you need to pee bad and can't hold it any longer, or you're meeting time was changed unexpectedly and you need to get there fast...none of these are proper excuses for driving too fast. I think your dying loved one would rather you get there alive to say goodbye (even if you miss them being still alive) then die, or cause someone else's death because you needed to get there 2 minutes earlier. I have watched people driving too fast, need to stop at every red light, so that I catch up to them every time. I laugh at them when this happens cause they are just waiting gas, and asking for a speeding ticket.
Great, now tell her to stop being such an impatient asshole.
She probably couldn't see why he was stopped in the middle of the road which is why she honked. OP is the asshole for then driving slow on purpose, like a child trying to get revenge for some perceived wrongdoing upon themselves. OP needs therapy if someone honking gets him so self-righteous.
I never understand why people drive slow to "teach someone a lesson". She probably couldn't see why you were stopped in the middle of the road. Just drive normally and stop pretending you're anything but a jerk for driving slow to make people angry. It's immature.
If you weren't at a crosswalk then you were 100% wrong in everything you did. Not only is driving slow just to piss someone off a stupid thing to do but you should not have stopped in the first place. If you were at a crosswalk then obviously she would be wrong for honking. But I'm going to assume that if it were at a crosswalk she would have known and not honked and/or you would have mentioned it. So I believe you were completely in the wrong.

I also drive slow like that when people are aggressive drivers.
Now you know exactly who to report for road rage and aggressive driving.
