Today, I asked my kids how much they loved me. My seven year-old responded, 'I'll love you forever mummy.' My sixteen year-old responded, 'Can you wind down the window, I just farted.' FML

Was that for me? Sorry, but I'm really annoyed by all this stupid comments with stupid "YDI" reasons and since I doubt that normal people can be so stupid I asked that.

they aren't exactly bad kids, he was just embarrased by his mother asking him how much he loved her. I would be embarrassed!

Gee mom, I love you so much that it's just bursting out my ass.

Great =P First time ever I actually laughed because of a comment! Thanks =P

Serves you right for fishing for compliments. From a teenager, no less.

Typical answer for a teenager, or course he/she loves you ;P

The true aussie response to something like that!

Seems like something you could hear from a teenager anywhere in the world.... How is that an Australia-specific response?

now how is your life ******? More like a creative way of saying: My child has a sense of humor. Fml. Really, that is lame.

YDI especially since you didn't ask them WHETHER they loved you, but instead wanted to know HOW MUCH they loved you. What did you expect for them to answer? Something like "I love you to the Moon and stars and back and want to be with you every second of every day...blah...blah....blah!!!!" ???? You are way too old to be so needy!

This sounds fake to me. What kind of mother who has a 16 year old gets upset when they get a crappy answer to "how much do you love me?" She should have known better.
