Today, I was on a friend's trampoline trying to convince my mom that trampolines are safe and we should get one. While telling her, I smashed my knee into my face. I jumped off bleeding, slipped, hit my head on the trampoline, and got knocked unconscious. FML

Today, I removed the safety padding from around the trampoline because it seemed useless. This afternoon, I did a backflip, got my hair stuck in the springs, ripped out a chunk of my hair, and face planted it into the brick pavers. FML

Today, I decided to impress my friends by doing a flip on the trampoline. What did impress them, was my lack of tears after I hit the edge of the trampoline and broke my nose. FML

Today, I tried to impress a group of friends by jumping a set of stairs on my skateboard. I didn't realize the ceiling dropped down towards the bottom of the stairs and knocked myself out. FML

Today, I embraced my inner child and went to a trampoline park with friends. I was having a blast until I attempted a somersault and ended up bouncing right into a group of screaming toddlers. I was escorted out by a concerned parent. FML

Today, while practicing my gymnastics routine on the uneven bars, I was so distracted by my teammates' conversation about a party later that I miscalculated my flip and smacked my head on a bar. Ten stitches and a concussion later, I was left alone in the hospital. FML

Today, I was at the park with my friends. We were all having fun on the swings, when out of nowhere I heard a thud, followed by a child crying. Turns out I accidentally kicked him in the head. FML

Trampolines are not safe. A helmet is safe, an airbag is safe, but a trampoline will never protect you in a dangerous situation... But if you are trying to make it safer get one with the net that goes around it and that should help your case. with that said they are only dangerous if the person using it is an idiot. And #1 thank you for pointing out something nobody else realized, you helped a lot... but a serious thank you for not pointing out the obvious of you being the 1st to post a comment.

@11 I've seen a friend hit his face with his knee, it's very possible on a trampoline. And as for the OP, that really sucks, Trampolines are fun, but not particularly safe... at one party we had in high school we saw 3 injuries off that one little trampoline (all minor but still).

Trampolines are fun. I enjoyed mine until a hurricane blew it from my backyard to my front yard (it went over the house), where it hit a tree which then fell on my mailbox.
