Go to his house and shit on his floor and see how he likes it
I don't get it. Why we are supposed to tip at the restaurants? You work and receive a monthly pay. Is the mailman, the hairdresser, the baker receiving a tip?
It's generous to tip at restaurants because it helps the Waiters & waitresses out a lot. & yes, I tip my hair dresser too.
they make most of their money off of tips. it's polite to tip them when they're serving you. I tip my hairdresser and my manicurist and if I have some change I put it in the tip jar at small businesses. it's courteous.
I've heard that some restaurants and bars set their wages so that the tips fill out the salary to at least minimum wage; and pay out to minimum wage if someone doesn't make enough in tips. I don't know if that in particular is true (I will Google it later); but I do know that tipping is customary of good service, at least in the U.S. Besides that, we're in tough times and minimum wage is difficult to survive on. Not only does tipping help in a monetary sense, but a small act of generosity can really make someone's day. Tipping just makes the world a slightly less shitty place. Then again, so does not ******** on the floor of a public establishment.
I see from your profile that you are from Romania - things are different regarding tips depending where you are from. In the USA wait staff is paid very little fixed pay and tipping around 20% is expected. In western Europe (where I come from) fixed pay is considerably higher and around 10% tip is considered polite though not exactly necessary. I don't know what tipping manners are common in eastern Europe though, so maybe where you come from tipping isn't considered necessary.
In America you tip because they don't pay their staff enough.
when I was a waiter I was paid $4 an hour. with minimum wage at $7.25 I had to make up the difference in tips. Anyone who couldn't make the difference in tips and had the restaurant pay the rest was viewed as a bad waiter/waitress by management and not given any hours after that, thus firing them without actually firing them.
If he ever comes back, let him in & be sure to shit in his food.
who honestly runs those ideas through their head and says "yes. despite how obviously absurd this is, i am going to shit on this floor." sorry that happened to you op.
Sorry op, gotta wonder what goes through people's minds... Gee these people cook my food, perhaps I should shit on their floor, there is no way this could bite me in the ass in the future...
Tell the management. No pun intended but that's a really shitty situation for you OP

Looks like that's the perfect time to slip out on your break or lunch.
That's an awkward experience, I certainly hope this isn't a normal occurrence where you work. I hope you get better tips and customers in the future
