By your username, it sounds like you were possibly having fun playing D&D. It really doesn't matter how loud the party is, as long as you're enjoying yourself with friends and having a good time. All my birthdays are like that. Spending time with the people I love on my birthday by having a big dinner and just hanging out. Who needs that shitty after effects of partying the day after, not me. Enjoy your birthday OP.
Quiet parties are often the most fun! Plus, you probably gave the officers a rare glimpse into the better side of the young generation. Happy Birthday, OP!
Cops - you got busted!
Was I the only one that thought this FML was going in the stripper direction?
How bad of parking jobs were they to have 3 cops show up? lol
Dumb ass!!! if the cope didn't have a warrant to search the premises should not have let them in this one is on you. kids these day are idiots.
You are an idiot. As long as officers have probable cause "like a park job looking like perhaps a drunk driver" they do not need a warrant. Secondly, they asked to enter the house hold if OP said yes anything an officer finds in "plain sight" is legal. If OP said no then the officers have no legal grounds for entry and can only question from the doorway.
Ok, if you weren't doing anything wrong and they had no reason to believe you were you really shouldn't have let them in.
It they weren't doing anything wrong, then not letting them look is suspicious and the cops would probably have waited round the corner to give traffic violation tickets. Why not let them look if there is nothing to hide?
That gives the impression there is something to hide. They are the police after all, it is their responsibility to make sure.
Nothing wrong with a toned down party ... Wht they meant is that you could make more noise without worrying abt them coming to check ...
As long as you had fun who cares what they label it :)

Toned down doesn't mean a bad thing, i always find parties where you just have a laugh the best anyway.
The best parties are the quiet ones :) my favourite birthday party was when me and 3 close friends went to see a movie and then they all slept over. Hope it was an awesome toned down party :)
