Its a pain in the ass, and we always complain to the manager if its a server. I'm barely 5'2", and he's 6'3". I like the height difference, so does he. He's also 5 years older, but it doesn't bother us. Everytime we notice someone giving us weird/rude looks, he just holds my hand and kisses me. When someone makes a rude comment, he'll tell them to leave me alone and that my size and age doesn't matter. For the record, he's 24, and I'm turning 20 in little over a week.

My uncle and his wife also have a huge size difference, even more than with OP. She is a really small and delicate SouthEast-Asian. He is a large lanky Caucasian. There is also an age difference of nearly 20 years, but I think it is not that visible since my uncle looks rather boyish. Still she got asked a few times if he is her grandfather. They take it with humour. Most people are rather embarrassed when they notice the mistake after taking a closer look.
