Today, I took the bus home after visiting a friend. Standing in front of my house, I realized that I had forgotten my keys. They were still in my car, which I had parked at my friend's place and forgotten. FML

Today, I biked to the store to buy a new lock, since biking is my only form of transportation. I left my bike unattended for the last time, only to come back with a new chain, but no bike. FML

Today, I decided to bike to work. I normally forget the key to my lock, so I leave it out back and hope that nobody takes it, and nobody does. I finally remembered my lock key so I chained it up. After my 7 hour shift, I walk to the back only to find the lock had been cut, and my bike was gone. FML

Today, I rode my bike to the store because I only had a few things to pick up. When I walked back out after five minutes, my bike was stolen. I had gone to the store to buy a new bike lock. FML

Today, I had to take two buses home from a friend's house. After waiting in the cold for the second bus for 40 minutes, it finally came and I realized that I'd left my wallet on the first bus. It took me 2 hours to walk home and I was locked out because my house key is attached to my wallet. FML

YDI for not keeping all your keys on your person at all times. That's just practical. But hey, on the bright side, you can just grab your key and head back to Boston now that you have a legit reason to get out of Jersey.

Why keep ALL of your keys on your person at all times? I admit it can be practical, but there are oodles of exceptions to that. I only have three keys: back door, shed, and car. They're all separate, i.e., not on a key chain. At no point have I EVER needed to be carrying more than one of these keys at a time. If I carried all of them all of the time, it would just be clutter in my already-crowded pockets.
