Today, my boyfriend graduated from boot camp. After the ceremony, I rushed over and tried to jump into his arms. This would have been romantic if he was expecting it. Instead, he fell over and we crashed onto the floor in front of everyone. FML

Does he have to repeat boot camp since he obviously didn't learn how to fend off a surprise attack? If some silly girl can knock him over, imagine what a crazed Al Qaeda terrorist would do to him! They work out on monkey bars!

This is great! I graduated Coast Guard boot camp August 12, 2011 and my girlfriend did the same thing to me (now my fiance and I did not fall down) lol congrats to both of you on his graduation and welcome to the Coast Guard from SN Foret down here in New Orleans!

seriously, don't worry about it. I've seen much worse happen lol. when mine graduated there was one girl who wouldn't let go of her man. it got embarrassing...

YDI. People in uniform are not supposed to show affection. Also those uniforms are VERY expensive. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't catch you on purpose.

I had something similar happen in high school. I saw my younger brother (who is bigger than me) in the courtyard and decided to run and jump on his back. He saw me coming in a reflection on a window, but wasn’t prepared for the jump and we both fell. We told our dance teacher, and she loved it so much, she put it in our recital dance (minus the fall).
