Buckle up

Today, my girlfriend broke up with me for a familiar reason; I apparently have night terrors that make me "Impossible to sleep in the same room with." I don't ever remember these dreams. Every other girlfriend I've had has ended up breaking things off with me for the same reason. FML

People rarely remember night terrors, not your fault. Just find a nice deaf girl.

Sorry that you suffer from them but if previous partners dump you for the same reason and you haven't seen a doctor about them, it kinda is your fault... :(

I am SO sorry. I have anxiety/panic disorder, and let me tell you for those who ignorantly want you to go to therapy, you can't talk yourself down or give yourself CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) in your sleep. So I have the night terrors despite my therapy. *hugs*

That's not completely true. You don't remember WHY you woke up in the first place, but you definitely remember waking up terrified and screaming.

Try giving your new girlfriend "a heads up" before she ever sleeps with you. Since you cannot help it she has a choice to either deal with it or tell you straight out. This way less hurt on both parts.

It helps weed out the ones that don't love you as much as they might claim. Think of it as a gift.

I think you should let them know sometime before the first time you sleep together. If they still leave you, then they obviously don't care enough for you to either a) help you do something about it or b) deal with it because they love you.

I would highly recommend you go to a sleep clinic... :S because that's awful for this to happen to you as often as it has!
