ya. so you can bet that you have night terrors
I have a similar problem that I only recently realized. Apparently I attack people in my sleep if they try to wake me up. I found this out after spending the night in a field with my martial arts group for a fundraiser. My sister tried to wake me up, and I used Hapkido to put her on the ground and almost delivered a finishing blow before I was stopped by some of our friends. Then I apparently flopped back down and went to sleep again. I don't remember a thing, but now no one will go near me when I sleep. This isn't really a problem at home, since I have a bunk bed, but I have no idea how I'd handle a relationship. It might've been a one time thing, but no one will test my theory.
Ah. I have sleep paralysis and the Hypnic jerk. :( My family comes from the town in Italy that has that genetic disorder. I know how you feel. Only I remember them and I wake up screaming. Mom is annoyed in the morning and whenever I doze at my boyfriends house he just looks terrified. Yay for sleeping like shit. FYL. :(
I used to suffer terribly from Night Terrors as a child and I certainly don't remember them. My parents spoke with my Doctor and all they could do was try to comfort. My Father used to stay up for hours just rubbing my back while I screamed and bawled my eyes out.
Night terrors are different than nightmares because night terrors happen in the deepest sleep of the night. Since your body isn't paralyzed, you act out whatever you dream, and often awake feeling scared without knowing why. I feel like a prescription ad -- talk to your doctor to see what he/she can do for you.
Why don't you go to a sleep clinic to try and sort this out?
It's not your fault though
Go see a therapist or psychologist, they can help you if this is making a major impact on your life

People rarely remember night terrors, not your fault. Just find a nice deaf girl.
Oh no! What a nightmare D:
