Today, I was so excited to play the video game I just bought, I decided to read the manual in the game. I went over the seizure warning and thought to myself, who the hell gets a seizure from playing a video game? Apparently I do. FML

When will people remember this? Just because ALL THE FMLs AUTOMATICALLY start with "Today", it doesn't mean that they happened the same day! Anyway, that sucks a lot, especially if you're a big gamer - I'd be bummed if it were me. I'm curious about what game it was now, though.

If you have an epileptical seizure, its because of a problem in your brain (i'll explain why once science knows why). Not all seizures are epileptical seizures. Any healthy person with a healthy person can have a non-epileptical seizure, and their brain will be just as healthy afterward as it was beforehand. Stay up for 5 days straight - chances are you'll have a seizure. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your brain, it just means that you stressed it beyond what it was capable of handling

I'm sorry :(. I get seizures so I know it sucks. At least you didn't find out you had seizures while driving in the car or something. Hope you're feeling okay!

Epilepsy can onset at any time, without any warning. I had no problems at all going to the movie theatre before last year. Now I can't be in a well-lit room with a television on and not have a seizure. I also used to be a heavy gamer, but now I can't play most computer games because of the flashes on screen - I had to quit visiting the gaming sites I spent hours on every week for 10 years because of the return of my epilepsy. And of course, one video game causing a seizure does not mean another one will. There are some games I can't be around at all (pretty much anything on neopets due to contrasting colors), some games I can play early levels on but not the faster levels (ie diner dash), and other games I can play and just be fine (ie pogo's monopoly)
