Well, I got nothing. Truly sad, all I can do is hound comments for prey...
I'm sorry but this is hilarious. Sounds like out of a commercial.
I moved to and lived in London for 6 years and I do understand how isolating big cities can be. Others have given solid advice to join clubs, etc to meet people. If you're studying or working, chat with your classmates or colleagues to start making connections. Take the leap to ask people to go out for coffee/bevvies if you feel safe with them. Join a poetry writing group or an urban hikers group to do urban walks. You could get to know the city as well as meet people. Having a song like that come on over the radio when you feel down is the perverse humour of the universe trying to get you to come to your senses, laugh at this and not take it/yourself so seriously. You can rectify this and it is a new phase of your life. Good luck and get out of your comfort zone to try something new, also realise this is a fantastic opportunity for you to redesign yourself. Be who you want to be and always be true to yourself. Grow, don't wither. It'll be ok if you want it to be.
i'm a loner, I embrace it. society, as you can see does not accept loners because of our "odd" inability to socialize. screw em all I say, I'm stronger on my own
couldnt agree more.
agree, well said.
You're not really (stronger, that is). We are biologically geared to be social creatures. People who like their own company are common but true loners are rare. Whether you just have one or two friends irl or a bunch of online friends, you are socialising. Being completely alone is damaging. That's why it's used as punishment in many places.
I respect that do your thing
I love you #20.
I hate irony so much, but you'll probably be laughing at what happened once you get friends or if you end up being fine that your a loner. I'm a loner and I'm fine with it (:
Sorry, sucks to be alone. But the music is just your selective persecption. like when you are looking to buy a car you see more and more of that model on the road. I am sure there were more uplifting songs on the radio. Try to see the silver line and meet some people. "It can't rain all the time." - The Crow
I was going to agree completely because a similar thing happened to me but it was my ipod. My ipod just happens to be telepathic and shuffles in songs to suit my mood or the moment. But I agree incompletely. :) It's a little cheesy but if you look for the positive, you'll usually find it and attract people to you as well.
Next time, order a pizza and stay at home. :P
