Communication Breakdown

Today, I found out a guy I had a thing with a while back thinks I am obsessed with him. This is because when he said that we should be friends, I stupidly thought he was being sincere and bothered to call him all of three times in the last five months. Clearly a sign of obsession. FML

I hate it when guys do that.. when they think that they rock and say every person who lays eyes on them must be in love with them!! I think they probably have a REALLY high ego

Had the exact same thing happen to me. I went to a movie with his guy, and he came onto me even though he knew I had a boyfriend (he told me he was single when he actually was having sex regularly with several girls at the time and made two of them believe they were his "official" girlfriend). I told him I just wanted to be friends. He said he was cool with that. So I would invite him to stuff but he'd never come. Then by coincidence I became friends with one of the girls he was playing, and after telling her of his behavior with me she told me how he'd complained that I was "obsessively" trying to hang out with him and "stalking" him. So we ****** him over by telling the other girls the truth about him. Now he obsessively stalks all of us :P Oh the irony.

I think the boys will agree: generally "just be friends" means I don't ever what to see or hear from you again but no hard feelings. if he really wanted to be friends he wouldn't have used that cliche

Isn't typing this FML a sign of obsession, or at least immaturity? Seems like you can't get him off your mind. He was probably right, and I'm sure it had to do with more than just a few phone calls (which I garuntee he never probably answered).

Oh god. those types of people. A few phone calls, WOW it's not like you're writing his name all over your books and it was what, 3 calls over the span of 5 months? He's not worth anyone's time.

No, but if he didn't call her back that means that she has been thinking about him for 5 months when he gave no sign of interest back. Thats obsession

don't listen to these assholes who are agreeing you to be obssessed, your not, if you called him everyday, stared at his facebook or myspace all day, or stalked his life, then you would be obsessed lol :)

Similar thing happened to me. I had a small crush on this guy. Someone told him, and he decided that I was obsessed with him. That was like three years ago and even now, every time I see him, he thinks I've purposely followed him or something. To make it worse, I go to school with his friend, who I've NEVER even had a SMALL crush on, and who's decided that I'm also obsessed with him for some unknown reason. It's the same thing with him, every time I see him he acts like I've stalked him there. Some people are just idiots. Don't worry about him, OP, he needs to grow up and get over himself.
