Crash

Today, I was driving down a highway during rush-hour. I heard my phone ring and couldn't find it. I bent down to feel around for it and got in an accident and totaled my car. The ringing? A commercial on the radio. Where was my phone? On my dresser at home. FML

That's why you ignore the sound of ringing phones when you're on the road. Pull over next time.

The idea of trying to answer your phone while driving.

Uh, you ever heard of a little thing called a Bluetooth? Duh, YDI. Next time pull over....dumbass.

I really hope you expected us to say YDI...'cause you REALLY deserved it. I have absolutely NO sympathy for you, OP. It's also really depressing that you're a guy - Usually we girls are the ones ******* up our cars because of cell phones... Massive FAIL.

YDI, the reason states are passing laws that you can't be on your cell phone is 1st: so people like you don't do this and 2nd: you could have killed someone else! On another note: that is funny, I hate it when radio stations do that. Sirens, cell phones, car horns, screeching tires...gah, you'd think they'd have some respect for the 90% of their audience who are driving.

It's not just that reason that we should hate them, but also because by constantly playing false alerts in our faces and such, we actually become conditioned to IGNORE alerting noises.

Did you crash on the 101 today? Because if it was, you made me late for class.

YDI OP, hope your insurance is screwed. I had a women talking on her cell phone move over the line into my lane and clip my side view mirror. When I honked at her she got all prissy with me about disturbing her conversation until i cut her off and forced her to pull over. She was so wrapped up in her convo she hadn't even noticed clipping me. I chewed her out and she apologized and swore she would never talk on her phone while driving again. Studies show that it is actually far safer to be wasted and driving than on the phone and driving. If you cant take the responsibility of driving thousands of pounds of metal at speeds over a mile a minute seriously, you shouldn't be driving both for your sake and others'.
