Today, I finally told my boyfriend that I see a therapist every week because, amongst other things, I'm terrified of being locked in a room. He didn't believe me, so he locked me in the bathroom "for a laugh." I had a panic attack and passed out. FML

If he was released then he's probably recovered. He trusted you enough to tell you this, so it would be pretty cruel to just abandon him. Has he ever given you a reason to be afraid before now?

I agree! But it is understandable she is shocked and scared at first. He told her probably only because he trusts her and knows something like that will never happen again. She should be honest with him back and tell him how she feels about what he said to her- not break up or tell everyone else. Mental issues can happen to anyone, it's not their fault if they are not "themselves".
