Deep clean

Today, my husband decided to drain his motorcycle oil into an empty bottle of laundry detergent. Also today, I decided to lift a stain out of my white comforter with some detergent I found in the garage. FML

Hmm whats the difference between oil and detergent? Oh yes, one is jet black and smells. The other is a mushy blue colour. ******* idiot.

Just because you can't imagine how something happened doesn't mean it couldn't happen. Sounds to me like she put the comforter in the machine and poured some detergent straight from the bottle before realizing what it was.

YDI for being too damn stupid to smell the oil, or not pouring it into the cap first in order to measure out the necessary amount. The husband putting the oil in the container isn't too odd, but maybe he should have taken a Sharpie to the container. Still, the OP is monumentally stupid and deserves it.

I say YDI. I would be a little suspicious of laundry detergent in my garage. Plus I don't know how you could not smell that when you opened the detergent bottle! I mean come on! It's common sense! Why are there so many FMLs these days that NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THEY USED JUST A LITTLE COMMON SENSE! It's VERY irritated! Simple math as well. Stained white comforter+"laundry detergent" from the garage=one giant stain. Use your brain. Not that difficult to figure out. YDI. And those who say FYL, you are wrong because the OP should have used one of their five senses (smell) or used common sense and not use laundry detergent from the garage!
