Today, I was sitting using my laptop, while eating a bag of Starbursts. The bag slid off the bed, so I went to catch it and in the process my knee hit my laptop, which flew off the bed onto the wooden floor, and shattered. I broke my laptop to save 11 Starbursts from falling. FML

For all those that say that Macs suck, i think you guys are jealous because you can't afford one....besides i doubt that the OP was using a Mac because like #30 said, Macs are made of ALUMINUM so they are pretty hard to break or "shatter"......Anyways, I'm sorry for your loss :(

#43, youre right. i cant afford overpaying for a logo when i can get the same specs for less than half price on a pc with windows.

I've had both and Mac is way better... And you can run either windows or lion but you're probably too poor to afford a Mac anyways

on the bright side, you still have access to another computer on which to view FML :)

I did the same thing a few months ago!! only i had dived for my cell phone and my mac went flying 9 feet. i killed my hard drive, but it was somehow repairable and all my info was saved. so sorry for you! but yeah i agree with #46, at least you still have computer access somewhere!

Why **** your life? You are probably rich, which isn't a bad thing. I admit, breaking your personal laptop sucks a lot. But why would you SIT on your bed with your laptop? My laptop only lays in my bed when I wanna ly down also, sitting is for a CHAIR.

Bag of starbursts = $3 Laptop =$2500 Breaking your laptop trying to save your $3 bag of starburst + making it on FMyLife.com = priceless lmao!

Agreed w/ DaftBrian. It's most likely a MacBook Pro and an overpriced machine at that. I'm not saying it's of lower quality but man...this is why my teachers always said, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." @ #48 Nope, if that were the case, all MacBook Pro owners should be rich. That just doesn't work out because none of the Pro owners I've met were earning over $100,000 a year, if not even half that.

I read this story on fml.com, only the laptop was an iphone and the starburst was mac n cheese. Probably what everyone is thinking of?
