My now ex-husband proposed to me in the mall outside the mass market jewelry store after he picked up my ring. No surprise, romance, forethought at all AND the store forgot to resize the band, so it didn't fit. THAT was the worst proposal ever. Yours was thoughtful and special, just not as much of a surprise as you had planned. :)

I know it sucks since you had this big ol' plan. But I actually find it way cute. My husband planned to propose on Christmas. But he was so nervous and tends to talk in his sleep. And well like 2 weeks before he told me all about it lol. I loved it then, and I love it now. Great story.
