Don't look back

Today, I quit my job as a barista for one of our competitors with a couple of bucks more an hour. Two hours after I'd handed in my resignation, my boss approached me just to let me know that if I hadn't resigned, I would've been offered my own café. FML

He was probably lying about the cafe just because you quit you know...

Sounds like bluff to me... if you were really getting your own cafe, they would have used that as a bargaining point in keeping you on.

Agreed with most comments here... he's just lying to make you feel bad.

Alls well that ends well. just not in your case. 

This is why if you're ever offered a better job in the same field, you don't just quit your current one, you leverage. If you went to your supervisor or whoever was in charge, and honestly told them you had a better offer on the table and you just couldn't justifiably turn it down, you probably would have gotten your own cafe.

you win some you lose some. I'm a barista too. as long as you don't work for Starbucks you should know good coffee. single origin is where it's at. seriously, if its Starbucks you ******* deserve it.

that's his lie to get u back on the job

Så utrolig kjedelig!!!! Håper du trives i ny jobb da!

hes bullshitting you to try and make you feel bad... if he really would want you to have the café he,d keep the offer available and understand Your choice.. unless you yelled at him and blew his tires!

This is sad, but you do deserve it. Just making a few dollars more does not mean much. If you stick with a job and know you are doing well, some where along the way you will be rewarded accordingly.
