I tend to agree, for most people, at least. And I've never seen waist long hair that looks healthy.

waist length hair is fine as long as you keep it healthy. i hesitate to admit this in this context but my hair goes to my waist, but i always keep it trimmed so it looks healthy, the length wasnt even intentional it just grew fast and now i kind of like it because its warm in winter, good to play with when i get bored in lessons at school and fun to do plaiting/straightening/curling etc on. plus short hair doesnt suit me. so the moral of the story is that while lots of girls have their hair as a "security blanket", a lot of the time its just because they like it, like doing your eyeliner a particular way or wearing a particular type of clothing or even colour. what is kind of annoying is girls who go on about their "beautiful hair" when actually its long but thin and dull and straggly and full of split ends and would probably suit them shorter, but now im just bitching.

it might not wake her up if her hair was off to the side, and had some slack in it (as it likely did since it's waist length)...I sleep heavily enough that it doesn't wake me up when my husband gets in bed after I'm asleep, so I don't think that the sound of scissors would wake me, and if they didn't have to pull on her hair to cut it, I don't see any reason why a sober person (who is also a heavy sleeper) couldn't sleep through having her hair cut
