Dumpster diving

Today, my boyfriend found the box of photos I've been saving for my daughter. He was convinced I was pining over her father and emptied the box into the dumpster behind our apartment. I'm still not done digging through the garbage to find the photos from the day my daughter was born. FML

＠17 － To be fair, it does sound like he didn't know it was her daughter's stuff and thought OP was keeping the photos cause she misses her ex. That's still no reason to throw them out though.

@75 it doesn't matter if she did anything because NOTHING warrants childish behaviour like that. I would dump someone for throwing out my belongings, meaning they were going through my belongings without my permission in the first place, without talking to me about it. Not only that, but the OP said that she was rummaging through the trash trying to find photos from her daughter's birth which heavily implies that the photos included baby photos. This guy is an asshole for the way that he handled it.

I dislike people who judges other people based on their past relationships, if he is mature enough to know why you had all those photos then he is worth having you and your daughter. Otherwise leave his ass.
