Today, I took my girlfriend to eat out at a restaurant. We chatted for an hour, and it all seemed to be going well, until she told me that she wanted to break up. Waiting for the bill and driving her home was the most painful time of my life. FML

"Would you folks like any dessert? No? You sure? You make such a cute couple, maybe I could recommend the shared sundae?"

Good luck, OP. But you were a nice guy for still paying.

I honestly would've walked out on her. I'm not paying for an ex's meal AND taking her home. She could've done it at a park so she could walk away and you coyld ait there thinking about how you're going to get stronger from it.

When she says she wants to break up why don't you say no? Don't take it like a bitch and definitely don't pay. Give her the ultimatum: if you break up she pays the bill.

Should have just gotten up and left. Stuck her with the bill.

Why the hell did you drive her home? You should have left her to get a cab or something... she was bang out of order to do it in public like that.

Should have split the bill. Then not drive her home.

That's horrible! But instead if bring sad figure out what went wrong in the relationship versus the "all the stuff I did" and "how could she"! Now if you can't come up with anything,,,,.......then yes that's something to be sad about! Hopefully everything works out!
