Today, I went on a first date with a guy I don't know very well. He told me to dress in formal attire, so I assumed he was taking me to a nice dinner. He took me to his brother's wedding, and introduced me as "The One" to his entire family. FML

Today, I went on a date for the first time in almost a year. To keep things casual, he had a couple of his friends join. Oh and by a couple of friends, I mean a party of people from his church. I'm not religious. The date wasn't even half over before I was being preached to. FML

Today, I went with my fiancé to meet his parents. He was really sweet the whole way there, and once we got there he introduced me as 'the girl I'm going to marry'. His parents took one look at me and said, "Are you sure?" I laughed, because I thought they were joking. They weren't. FML

Today, I agreed to go to a restaurant because I hadn’t really been listening and thought everyone was planning a coworkers night out. It wasn’t until the guy who had invited me turned up at the restaurant in a suit that I realised it wasn’t a group event, I’d accidentally agreed to a date. FML

Jesus he's crazy... Run away! And aside from it being uber forward/creepy, it's also a dickish move - A date takes only a little bit of your time... weddings can eat up a whole day!

if you don't like him enough to appreciate him thinking long term you shouldn't have started dating him in the first place---plus why would you be at his brothers' wedding if you've only known him a week or two??? surely you're the one giving the wrong signals???

Yup - run first, and don't pause to ask questions: There is no upside to this a) he is announcing you're THE one: he should have told you first; mega-creep b) he is saying you're the one he's been talking about: he should learn your name and use it in your presence; ill-mannered creep c) he's using you as cover: he's dumping the embarrassment onto you instead of taking it himself; gutless turd d) he thought this was the romantic way to tell you he likes you: should have had the guts to tell you to your face; pillow-biter If he takes the time to call you and explain himself, it might be worth listening to him, but one will buy you a thousand that he doesn't.
