Today, I was dropping my new boyfriend off at his house. I'd never been there before, so he was giving me directions as I drove. We passed a small trailer home on the right. Without thinking, I said, "I'm so glad I don't live in a house like that." My boyfriend told me to turn right. FML

All of you assholes saying she's a bitch and whatnot, wow. So fu**ing what she said she was glad she didn't live in a trailer. I'm glad I'm not living in a trailer either. I'm pretty sure I've said that once in my life about a run-down old shack I've passed by. @93: Just because she appreciates living NOT living in a trailer doesn't make her a snobby bitch. It reaaally irritates me that you people are commenting after thinking it over for probably 10+ seconds, because she was just trying to make conversation, and who thinks over what they're about to say for 10+ seconds? -.- She didn't even know he lived in that house, so she wasn't insulting him either

Wow. Speaking of being judgmental, everyone on this site is waaaaay too quick to accuse others and make generalizations. Nothing in the FML makes the OP a snob...she just said that SHE didn't want to live in a trailer, not that people who live in them are trash, or dumb, or in any way bad people. She never said that she wanted money, just that she was glad that she was fortunate enough to live in a more comfortable home. Face it: trailers are small, and usually wouldn't be most people's first choice in housing given other options. It was awkward that she happened to point out his house, but she didn't say anything mean or snobbish. It was in no way a reflection of her opinions of him. Also, #65: guess what? People who live in houses ALSO have to pay for the land the house is on, building costs, sewage, utilities hook-up, etc. Trailers tend to be on smaller plots of land (cheaper), lower quality land (not suitable for a house or yard, in areas no one wants to build in, again cheaper), and are cheaper to buy than most houses. Yes, there are exceptions, but come on, in general trailers are chosen because they are the LESS expensive option.
