No, YOU have something to show for it...DOCTOR.
The OP may not have anything materialistic to show for it but they do have their knowledge. Those are the kinds of sacrifices that you have to make to achieve certain goals. Knowing that you may save countless lives is definitely worth it imo.
"I will be starting my third year next semester, along with HALF of the class I originally started with." Your admissions committee must suck then, because no school I've ever heard of has such a poor retention rate. To the OP, if you are seriously envying people for living well outside their means and ******* themselves over in the long run, you clearly have some issues to work out.
Wow. And, I'll bet you $135K that you're not going into a primary care field. It's a shame.
Yeah, but you're in medical school. So you'll be able to pay it off when you become a doctor because doctors are loaded. Are you some kind of idiot?
you're privileged enough to go to med school so STFU
Daaamn to study in the states is expensive o. o 135 k ... daaamn ... Im finishing my first year on a spanish university, I paid 1000 € for the enter fee and everything. The most expensive place I heard to study is Madrid if youre doin medicine, like 4000€. Yeah, Spain is pretty cool ^ - ^ I'm learning in Almeria, a good university, Psychology, some of my professors worked along on some stuff with Skinner so I don't worry about the quality of my studies, Im happy : P And dude you are sooo ****** in you head -.- PS. At least you will have a good career once you are done with school!
"At least they have something to show for their debt"? What does that mean? In a few years you'll have a respectable career. A pile of shiny things won't help you earn money the same way a medical degree can.
