Get back here!

By matte - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - Australia

Today, whilst working at Subway, I took an order for 6 footlongs. The entire process took 15 minutes due to the customer's hesitant and glacial pace. When it came to paying, he pulled out his wallet, looked inside, looked at me, and walked quickly out of the store. FML

What a douche. Don't people usually check if they have the MONEY to purchase a sandwich BEFORE ordering it?! I hate dumbass customers like those. :

And still 690 people think it's the OP's fault. Douche bags. That really sucks.

Oh wow, that sucks! He couldn't have asked to wait while he got more money (even if it was a lie) or apologized? What a dickless wonder that guy was. This is why I hate dealing with people on a daily basis at work.

Things went poorly at a job in fast food? Shocker! If you can't handle the fact that your job is going to suck, then quit - if you need the money, then I'm sorry but you need to suck it up. Be glad you even have a job, you're luckier than some.

hahaha. I hate people like this. I used to work at subway too, and it was always a pain in the ass when this sort of thing happened. so i feel ya dude. at least if you're manager isn't a douche, you each have a footlong to eat.

#54 has a good idea and is totally right. most consumers are rude and think they're higher than everyone else around them, working to make a living. example: today, at work, this lady had asked a co-worker to help her try on a billion items. as the lady left, i asked if i could help with anything, and she gave me a scowl and replied, "no" with a tone in her voice. i mean, it's not really anything, you get rude customers, but we wasted 20 minutes returning clothes when we could be doing other things more useful. at least you could be a little more appreciative for the help we gave... a lot of my friends are making fun of me for wanting to work at mcdonalds... and any reader of this comment might, too, BUT working in places like that REALLY changes your perspective when you're the consumer. you give the employee more of a break, and both of you get to depart with smiles on your faces, not scowls and cuss words leaving your mouth.

eh that happens all the time. but yeah that sucks.

When that happens do you get to keep the sandwiches? That sounds like a win not a fail to me. Yum sandwiches!
