Today, I was very sick and kept throwing up. I took a shower after every time I threw up. While in the shower after I threw up, I had to throw up again, so I got out and ran to the toilet. I slipped on the tile, broke my nose on the floor, and then threw up. FML

WHy would you take a shower after every time you throw up? If you're that sick, you barely have energy to run to the toilet and then back to your bed, let alone stand in the shower. YDI, but honestly sounds like crap to me.

I've had some stuff that made me vomit rather often, and a good tip is not good to do much after you throw up, calm for some 30 - 60 minutes so not to irritate yourself to throw up again (don't eat, brush your teeth, etc.). I hope you feel better soon.

I have two Ideas and Ill start with themost far-fetched: 1: OP has OCD and therefore can't control the urge to cleanse himself after each time. 2: there were decent lenghts of time between each puking session and so the OP, not realizing it would happen again, hoped for the best and took a shower. Plus, having a broken nose while sitting in a pile of stomach waste just sucks no matter what :/

i don't get it! in this fml where someone peed in the shower there was this huge discussion about how gross that is and in this fml nearly everyone advises the op to simply puke in the shower... what's up with the universe? op: don't waste that much water next time, but yeah fyl

The reason why people were grossed out with the peeing in the shower one was because he pissed on his girlfriend. Ive got to say i find the idea of chucking up in the shower a bit gross tbh. I'd make it to the toilet if i could

Next time you end up puking a lot carry around something to puke in (I usually use the plastic tubs wash tablets come in) then if you feel sick in the shower you can puke in that and won't have to run anywhere or smash your nose.

unless you threw up ON yourself, taking a shower after every time you throw up is dumb. i just brush my teeth. also, you can throw up IN the shower. it washes right down the drain. you're an idiot. YDI for wasting so much water.

guys wtf. stop cmenting on how the person had to throw up in the shower. the fml isn't "today I chose to throw up in the toilet. fml" it's about how the OP fell and broke their nose.. what you guys are saying is like you deserved getting hit by a car because u chose to go to duane reade instead of cvs. (which are across the block from each other) and if they wanted to take a shower after throwing up it makes a lot of sense actually cuz when Im sick and throwing up constantly showering makes me feel a lot better for a while. so seriously like I didn't read all the comments but I read enough to say that like two people commented on the broken nose the rest are people talking about which is better to throw up in...

why are you showering after every time you throw up? YDI for being obsessive about smelling like puke when ur sick. its not like anyones gonna get close to u when they know you could throw up any time
