Good boy

Today, I brought back the puppy I adopted for my family. I spent months doing all the research on puppy care with two young children, and at least five hundred dollars for the dog, the supplies, toys… the whole lot. Turns out everyone's allergic to her. FML

Man, you people are haters. I'm sure nothing's ever slipped y'all's minds before. I understand why the OP forgot: if he or she's not allergic to anything, then checking for allergies wouldn't have crossed his or her mind. That really sucks about the dog.

I'm not sry for u-u shouldve looked into it. I am sorry for the dog tho-he thought he wuz finally getting a home just 2 b taken back again........poor puppy :-(

that really sucks, you probably should have known something like that though. FYL.

F-em it's their fault for having allergies. They can move out if they don't like it. Don't sacrifice the dog's well-being for a made up disease.

that stinks. my dads allergic to everything with fur, so >> but we have a bunny, that doesnt seem to bother him. try a fan or an air circulator, sometimes that helps.

Don't shelters let you do a trial run and let you take the pet home for a week or something to see how it goes? I know some places do that, but I don't know how common it is.

So, you're a dumbass and apparently you didn't doENOUGH research. It's extremely cheap, quick, and easy to pre-allergy test yourself and your family for pet allergies at any doctor. So many animals end up with no homes and back in a shelter because of the allergy-excuse.

Thank u #17. Couldn't have said it better myself.

This is ******* retarded. I'm allergic to my cat, yes I still have here don't I? Yeah, I do. She was a birthday present and I wouldn't go and make her ******* homeless 'cause of some pussy shit. Oh and yes, I am VERY allergic to her. But I can still pet her and care for her(just remind me not to touch my face afterward (: ) So. You're an asshole. The end.

#17: Very good point, but not too cheap, and testing takes about 2 hours each person. Think it's called a 'scratch test' I've recently had this done and it sucked. had to get poked with a needle for EVERY item, up and down my arm. There is a different test, that sucks worse. You wear a large patch on your lower back for about a week, and you can't bathe in this time frame. A easy way to test your families tolerance to specific allergies is take them to be near a dog for an extended period of time, preferably indoors and see what happens. I did the same thing, I got a male cat and found out too late that I'm allergic to male-specific dander. I also have asthma, so my life has been a living hell for 3 years (I of course am the only one allergic to the cat) and don't have the heart to drop him at a shelter.

i see this all the time in the shelter and it really bothers me theres medications and if your children are to young you should have gotten them tested before adopting the animal
