God knows, I've noticed early on they don't get more than about 10k votes. Though the older "Why did they deserve this?" ones have all got lots more votes are are still tipped heavily towards YDI. I assume either lots of people want the badges for lots of down votes, that the heat is really getting to people (it's very hot in the UK, anyway), or it's the illuminati. Probably the last one, they're responsible for almost everything. Apparently.
