Today, a woman at work told me that her kid had puked into "a storage bin" in the office. It wasn't a storage bin, it was the outgoing mail tray on the side of my desk containing important contract documents that had to be posted by 5pm that day. FML

Well, sounds like the mail wasn't the only thing that was outgoing. I'm sorry OP :-/

I'd be questioning why the woman and her child were in your office.

The woman probably works there and had her child because they were off school ill and she was unable to take time off.

Better get to work so you don't get fired

Stick a post it explaining the staining and smell on the documents is about all you can do unless you have the time to redo them all. That really sucks

Parents need to take more responsibility for their kids!! Especially if they're ill or not well behaved!! I'm so sorry to hear this OP!! Wear gloves and try to plug your nose!!! Best of luck sweetie!!

Did the mother roll her eyes and do the classic 'kids' line? Sorry Op.

now that's what I call a sticky situation

How rude. Some parents have no idea how to raise kids. If she was a good mother she would have handed her hand bag to her son and let him puke in there.

You never know what happend in there, so stop judging the mother. Not every parent can control they're children's puke.
