You realise that it's mainly adults who attempt lucid dreaming, right? Sure, the OP seems rather gullible, or his parents really know how to get inside his head and convince him. Regardless of how, it's a funny story which will be remembered, and I can see why the OP got excited about it.
I noticed you skipped the essential part of this elaborate ruse that was carried out about two decades ago when you were a baby and your mommy dropped you on your head.
It actually started when OP was born. He's been dreaming the whole time and his parents made him think it was real.
