Hammer-headed

Today, after ignoring my concerns and declaring that "safety equipment is for pussies", my husband went rock climbing for the first time. He only sprained his ankle, but is acting like it's broken. He's now playing video games in bed and pissing in a bucket, because walking is "too painful." FML

It seems like "walking's for *******" now.

His logic is sound. Video games cure everything.

I thought spraining an ankle was more painful than breaking it?

He probably planned all of this out from the start because he was looking for an excuse to play video games. I know I would,

I play european football and have sprained my ankles many times. Walking can be so painful and difficult, plus that with the fun of videogames, i'd piss in a bucket too. I can understand if he is exagerating, especially if he does it a lot. Try to take it easy on him, he is hurting.

guys are the worse when it comes to getting hurt. a splinter is like getting stabbed

What a pussy When i broke my knee i was still able to walk to the bathroom to pee Although I have also wasted most of my time playing video games

To be honest, I would have a serious talk with your husband. It’s not just his life he is playing with, it’s yours too, although on a different level. When you make a lifetime commitment to someone, the least you can do is look after yourself and not put yourself in unnecessary danger. My husband is self-employed and has to get up very early in the morning to go to work. It happened twice that he went out with his mates and came back completely trashed. I don’t mind the drinking, he does that quite rarely. But both times, he got up to go to work after a few hours sleep and probably still drunk. I had to throw a fit to prevent him from going because I was sure it was not safe for him to drive. After the second stunt like that, I told him how upset that made me, that he had no right to endanger himself like that and that he had a responsibility towards me. He expects me to be as safe as possible so that goes both ways. He realises now that it was selfish and reckless and will not go on the piss if he has to work the following day.

men especially men like him would not be able to handle child birth if they could have babies too
