Honest mistake

Today, was my first day back at work since my wife got breast cancer. I come in and see some people with pink slips and frowns. When I get to my desk I find a pink slip, I go up to my boss and start to curse him out for firing me. Only to find out my pink slip was a fundraiser for my wife. FML

i don't think this is a fml...because im sure if he cared enough to put the slip on your desk...then it would be easily fixed. I bet he understands your under a lot of pressure. ydi for not calming down.

#1, you're a baby. And you totally deserved it for not taking the time to realize what the pink slip was for. I mean even I would realize that the pink slip had something to do with breast cancer maybe. he wouldn't fire you after something like that unless he's a total ass.

I thought pink was a given. I didn't even have to read this whole FML and I already thought some breast cancer awareness or fund raiser was happening. That must suck op, a lot must have been going on for you, but try not to jump to conclusions.
