Today, I keep getting calls from companies that I applied to for interviews. The thing is, I moved 1,000 miles away a week ago because I couldn't find a job. FML

Maybe you should have wait a few weeks after applying to these jobs before leaving but sorry OP ! Hope you find a job you like where you live now!

Keep your head up, OP! If you can get an opportunity from 1,000 miles away, you can get it anywhere else. :)

next time just make sure you wait a while because I'm sure tons of people apply for every job and it probably takes people a while to decide. good luck next time.

To those saying she should have waited before moving she probably did, it took one company 4 months before even phoning me for an interview, and by that time I was in the same situation as this. Don't let it get you down though, OP, it could be a blessing in disguise, and at least you know people have considered hiring you now.

I'm glad somebody finally said it. Everyone assumes that OP applied then up and left. Who knows how long after applying that OP left. Sometimes you don't have the ability to just wait, especially in the case where it takes months.
