Today, I keep getting calls from companies that I applied to for interviews. The thing is, I moved 1,000 miles away a week ago because I couldn't find a job. FML

Maybe you should have wait a few weeks after applying to these jobs before leaving but sorry OP ! Hope you find a job you like where you live now!

Did following up come up empty? Usually from there they know you want the job...and usually give it to you

My soon-to-be - ex-husband and I were on the brink of a divorce when I was applying. Two and a half months later, we agreed to a divorce for unrelated reasons, I moved away, now the calls are flowing in.
