Today, I keep getting calls from companies that I applied to for interviews. The thing is, I moved 1,000 miles away a week ago because I couldn't find a job. FML

Maybe you should have wait a few weeks after applying to these jobs before leaving but sorry OP ! Hope you find a job you like where you live now!

The each same thing happened to my friend. Crazy!! She was able to move back though and get a job.

Hey don't be sad about it. 1000 miles means new scenery and sights to see in addition to actually having a job. You've got a whole new adventure waiting!

Beware the late responses--they arrive in droves. At least they were interested in you if they requested an interview. If they pay your relocation costs would you return, op?

I would not. They were retail jobs, hardly worth going back for.

Might have been worth it if I was staying married but I'm not so all the more reason to move far, far away haha.

OP, please understand that by moving away, you CAUSED the job offers to start flowing.
