I'm not worthy

Today, my boyfriend of three years who I helped through drug rehab and find employment in my office left me for someone else. His explanation was that now that his "head is not clouded with chemicals" and he "makes decent money", he wants to settle down with someone worthy of him. FML

send him some drugs... to bring him back...

He's not ****** up for using drugs in the first place. He's a dick for dumping her after she cleaned him up, got him sober, AND helped him get a job where she works. The fact that he justifies his actions by saying that he wants to settle down with someone whose worthy of HIM makes what he did even worse.

lol that's clever wrong but clever. OP sorry unfortunately that's how life is just remember to build your self up first next time

LOL! That's so wrong, but it's ******* hilarious!

You deserve more than a douchebag like that. Let him go. Moreover you can get him fired if you want. ;)

sometimes u wonder if that's happening with me. my boyfriend's previous girlfriends gave him drugs and alcohol, he was homeless and didn't care about anything except hard liquor and meth. when we met and got together he cleaned up immensly, got a job, a car, a place of his own... but now it's beginning to fill his head because I'm still finishing up school, it's like he grew this ego and sometimes it feels like he thinks, "I can be with someone way better than this" it's a crappy feeling, I'm sorry :(

WOW....well sweetheart just be happy that you can say you helped someone through those problems and besides successful relationships rely one both partners supporting each other it's not a one way street. soon ur ex will realize how much of ur support was involved in his success of rehabilitation

The lesson her children: DON'T TRUST CRACKHEADS. Did he steal anything from your household as he left?
