Today, I got into an argument with my mother, when she snapped and called me a son of a bitch. I said that made no sense, because I'm a girl, and it'd only really confirm that she's a bitch. She then grounded me for insulting her. FML

Has it ever occurred to you that you actually inflamed the situation? Maybe she called you a "son of a biach" because she was frustrated and wanted to swear. Or perhaps she knew full well that her insult had no basis and chose that insult over all the others? Think about it OP; remember, we are only hearing one side of the story.
