It's a conspiracy!

Today, I had to very clearly explain to my mother, in public, why you cannot get cancer from eating too much ketchup. FML

OP's Mother: So I heard the most interesting thing while watching Doctor Oz, today! OP: Oh yeah, what's that? OP's Mother: Apparently eating too much of certain things can be hurtful to your health. OP: Yeah i already knew that... OP's Mother: You know what else is hurtful to your health? Cancer. OP: That's great mom. *Applies ketchup to burger.* OP's Mother: Careful, don't put too much. It'll give you cancer. One possible scenario. :3

51- thank you, sir. I appriciate that you took the time to explain this to me. Have a great day! :)

it's the opposite in fact, the tomatoes in ketchup contain lycopene which helps prevent prostate cancer! "The More You Know"

#57 I know this is irrelevant, but your picture is just... Awwwwwww! :3

Your comment made no sense whatsoever. Have you met OP's mother yet? You two would make a great couple.

Your mom is right if you are eating 12 bottles a day or more. Mix up your condiments -- bring some more mustard, mayo, salsa, chutney and Nutella into your diet. (Put all five of those things in a blender and puree it. . . awesome!)

#79, Nutella is a codiment?! And I thought it was a food group... sigh.

Well, ketchup has some antioxidants in there, so shouldn't that be helping something? And too much of anything is bad.

Exclaiming popular foods is not enough to get thumbs up when it doesn't even relate to the FML.

#85, this may be the only FML where bacon is not idolized.
