Today, while on student exchange in Germany, I was making myself a cup of coffee. When I rummaged around in the fridge, my roommates asked me what I was looking for. I said I wanted to put "samen" in my coffee. They laughed. Ah yes, "sahne" means "cream". "Samen" means "sperm". FML

Well, I hope they put 'sahne' and not 'samen' in your coffee!

How funny would it be if one of them pulled down their pants, and started beating their ferret?

no it means semen you ******* dumass.

Moreover, OP's probably not an English speaker. As the original FML was posted in French from Switzerland, we can assume OP's native language is French ; in French the word "semence" is barely used to say "sperm" nowadays, "sperme" being the most common word used to say that. Plus, "semence" doesn't sound like "Samen" either. So there was really no reason OP would find it obvious !

We're not so different after all!

2 german phrases my buddy tought me: Scint in dich- Go shit in a ditch Escitcha helluten- I farted Useful stuff, right?

What language is that? It sure as hell isn't German. "go shit in a ditch" is "geh und scheiss in einen Graben", whereas "I farted" would be "ich hab gefurzt". I would know. I've lived in Germany all my life.

...you put your foot in your mouth. Hardly an FML moment. Big whoop, you said "semen."
