That happened to me. I wound up working 7 days a week between 2 jobs because of that.

I also live in Washington. Your job is "at will employment" which means you can quit or your boss can fire you, with or without reason at any time. Also, in the state of Washington you are not actually required by law to notify your employer that you are quitting. Your psychotic boss has absolutely NO legal standing to keep you as an employee. QUIT, regardless of what the asshole says, and enjoy the freedoms of a democratic state. :)

If you want to quit, you say I QUIT, and WALK OUT. Simple, short and to the point. However, if you are under contract, and quitting would violate that, then the employer is in the right. If you are not under contract, then you are a dumbass for not walking out no matter what employer says.

I would have just left and not came back. his dumbass would have figured it out sooner or later and hey if not keep that check coming fool.
