If you think it's because you like the smell than that's most likely why.
Those tempting treats don't require a reason! Just bake and enjoy. Plus share with me.
When I read the word "philosophical", I expected this FML to take some incredible direction. Way to let me down, OP. It should be "psychological" instead. Baking as a way to discover the meaning of life instead of coping with life, that would've been something.
THANK YOU
nothing tastes better then unemployment cookies . other then unemployment twinkies and red velvet cake tossed in by the government . man do they have the incentives to make me an productive active member of society. ahh their generosity rests daintily in my heart.... well.. mostly in my protruding gut actually .
This FML made me hungry.
OP means psychological, not philosophical. Sorry, needed to point that out.
Open up a bakery! It'll solve your unemployment as well as satisfy your new love of baking.
how does this remind you of hunger games?? :S
Sorry, but that's PSYCHOLOGY of why you bake. Not philosophy. Sorry, couldn't not say it.

Bake their favorite recipes and refuse to share because you clearly need it to console yourself over your unemployment.
Boy, are they ever out in left field! Obviously, you bake because you have a very unsatisfying sex life. Mr. Fields was terrible in the sack and Famous Amos's wife had a mechanical ***** called Infamous Amos.
