#9 and #17: The bike lane sucks. You say we should use it because we might mow down a pedestrian. A pedestrian getting hit by a bike at cruising speed would hurt A LOT less than a bicyclist getting hit by a car. And yes, even in the bike lane, it happens a lot. People try to park and cut off cyclists because the dumbasses don't look. People park in the bike lane sometimes because they're too ******* lazy to find a spot. Sometimes there isn't a bike lane at all. And god forbid we try to ride in the street! If we try to stay on the edge some stupid **** will clip us with their car. If we ride in the middle, some lard ass will get pissed because they can't wait a few ******* minutes to pass us or one of us to turn, even though it's the law that we can ride there.

YDI, you should have ignored that to begin with. What kind of stupid objective is it to stop people from riding bikes on a sidewalk when people are stealing, killing, racing on residential streets, and selling drugs? You people need to set your priorities straight.

@ Everyone wondering why biking on a sidewalk is illegal You can mow down pedestrians. You legally have a right to be in a lane of traffic on a bike. HOWEVER, most of the time you still get in trouble for it. My girlfriend gets pissed when someone is NOT on the sidewalk. I've tried to explain it to her but she still honks and makes a scene at the people doing the legal thing.
