so, your son is in love... this isn't a bad thing. homophobe.
Haha, that's rad. Sounds like the beginnings to some terrible gay cinema. I think we all need to calm down.... I'm gay, big whoop... but really if you think being gay is wrong, or stupid..... either you've never met a gay person, or you are a stubborn moron, that's really what it comes down to.... so lets all shut up now. :)
lol! Not an FML or YDI, just funny. Sorry about your beer though.
If you're well-off enough in this economy to have a pool boy, there's no way your life is ****** up. Maybe you're shocked that your son is gay, but you'll probably get over it and learn to accept it (if Dick Cheney can, anyone can). Be thankful for your affluence, and be thankful for a healthy son who evidently is not a class snob (being involved with a pool boy) and who has the capacity to love and be loved. Think of the parents whose sons and daughters have died in accidents, incidents and overseas in wars, or by disease; those parents would give ANYTHING to have their children back.
This. You win.
I guess that I am just more weirded out that you actually have a pool boy at all, much less a gay one. What happened to the middle class?
how is this really an fYl? I feel bad for your son for not having an accepting father, and for not being able to admit to you that he's gay. I don't know how this one got published, because your just a homophobic ass. Your son being gay is not an fml because its not bad. Get over it.
He didn't said anything that would lead someone to believe he is homophobic. He very well could be, but you can't assume that from what he said in the FML. Coming out to your parents isn't always easy to do, whether or not you believe your parents will be accepting. I imagine I'd be shocked too to learn more than I bargained for in that way. Not exactly FML, I agree, but it's still rather funny, retrospectively.

I don't think OP's FMLing because of him being gay, but more because it was an awkward situation...
Um...I think one or two of you missed the point (like #2), OP wasn't mad that the pool boy and his son were in a gay relationship, he just wanted the pool boy to STOP DRINKING HIS BEER. He probably didn't know his son was gay, or if he did, he didn't care.
