Leave them alone

Today, I said to our pool-boy, "I know what you're doing, and you have to stop it." He started shouting that I had no right to tell them what to do and that they were in love. He was referring to his relationship with my eldest son. I wanted to tell him to stop drinking my beers. FML

I don't think OP's FMLing because of him being gay, but more because it was an awkward situation...

Um...I think one or two of you missed the point (like #2), OP wasn't mad that the pool boy and his son were in a gay relationship, he just wanted the pool boy to STOP DRINKING HIS BEER. He probably didn't know his son was gay, or if he did, he didn't care.

Sorry bout the double post, but my reply to #86 got shot down under #221, so apologies to all you folks following.

So true. Unless he has some sorta condition preventing him from doing it himself, he should get off of his lazy ass and do it himself.

I did not get the impression reading the FML post that the issue was that the son was gay, instead, I seem to have gotten the vibe that it was more of an issue of the beer being stolen and the son dating an employee who on top of that was stealing... even if it IS the issue, it's not the best way to learn such a thing, it's got to have come as a shock! Furthermore, I used to play make believe that I was rescuing the beautiful princess and such as a child and we skipped away into the sunset and lived happily ever after. I wasn't abused, I didn't have a traumatic childhood, I never thought that I was a boy, I've always been a feminine girl, was raised to be straight and corrected for my make believes. I grew up in a christian home, went to church on Sundays, believe that Christ is my lord and savior, and I am homosexual. I didn't ask to be homosexual, I didn't try to be homosexual and I've never wanted to be homosexual. I've tried to force myself to like men, it doesn't work that way. If it did, I wouldn't be sitting here scared to death of loosing my family because I'm a lesbian and to them, that is unacceptable.

It sucks you had to find out like that but that's life. Your son should have come out to you earlier. Being gay shouldn't be a problem if you are a good parent because you want your son to be happy. Live with it. And you might want to put your beer somewhere else...

Who the hell has a pool boy anymore? Clean the shit yourself. You could avoid both problems that way. :]

>.> Why are people making homosexuality the issue? Replace the 'pool boy' with 'pool girl' or the 'son' with 'daughter' and it's still an awkward situation >.>

Less awkward because lesbians are hot. ;) FYL OP, now you have a gay son and no beer.

Moron. He said "or" not "and." He wasn't talking about lesbians. He was talking about even if one of the genders change (meaning, so it would be a straight relationship), it would still be an awkward situation.
