"Long-time crush" -> Recipe for disaster. If you've been crushing on someone for a long time, and nothing has happened yet, then nothing is going to happen. There could be exceptions, but if he's been available to you for a long time and hasn't made any kind of move, you are really barking up the wrong tree.
