Today, while driving to Nashville, I saw a bunch of wild turkeys huddled together on the side of the road. I was excited to point them out to my boyfriend, until I realized that the "wild turkeys" were in fact vultures, and that they were eating a dead deer. FML

Tennessee has an abundance of turkey vultures. It's not your fault. They look like a bunch of wild turkeys from a distance, until you are close enough to see why they've gathered together.

Vultures are often confused with turkey buzzards...they are both scavenger birds and hard to tell apart. Still not attractive to watch them do what they do best.

WELCOME TO TENNESSEE, FRIEND. Vultures are a really common thing here. Don't worry, though! So are wild turkeys!

that's pretty cool why would it be fml? it's not like you see these things everyday

I live in Nashville. I see that once or twice a week

Well, they are called Turkey Vultures, so you aren't the only one to see the similarities.

I'm just saying that there are a lot of vultures and dead animals in Nashville. Op will probably see another.
