someones bipolar...
The boss finds this post and comments "you're fired"
Boss? Sound more like my parents...
Yeah, f*** your boss. Who can stand people who can't make their minds?
thats exactly how my manager is. like wtf do you want? you want me to be nice or not?!
just saying, there is a difference between being too friendly with the customers and being attentive. Asking if they have any questions is not the same as chatting with them. It takes a while to learn, but a good salesperson makes you feel they are your friend without hanging out with you in the store.
Report the arse for being bipolar! Key is that he has a boss?
With bosses like this u have to know they will say one thing and say another 10 mins later. My boss will tell me hire 3 people and a day later tell me I have to many. So I play it safe and wait to confirm again
Learning curve of holiday retail: finding the sweet spot between chatting away and sulking in the stacks.
I work at a car dealership. I was told the 1st day if I am outside a vehicle and a customer comes to me with a question, I was to answer and if I couldn't, I was to stop what I was doing and point them someone how could answer. I was really good answer probably 80% of questions. My boss yelled at me to stop being so helpful and just tell the customer to find him, I listened then he yelled I wasn't being helpful enough. I lost a kind of bonus for helping customers. I later found out that the money I should have got disappeared. I was moving is vehicle and found the cash in a envelope, with my name on it. I got him fired and now have his job... Pays more... I would that's not hyping to happen to you...
